ACTIVATE(D): Terilynn #1 - "Little Old Me"

I laughed at the self-ascribed “little old me” title Terilynn used when sharing with me how grateful she was that God had used her last week. She went on to share about how God had just used her again in an unexpected moment to help another women step into her identity as a child of God.

If you ever get a chance to meet her (and I hope you do!), you’ll experience a personality so opposite of “little old me”. Terilynn is so young at heart and full of life and passion. She owns and leads a successful team building and leadership development company called SOAR. And It’s not unusual for me to get a call like the one from last week from Terilynn, overwhelmed and excited to share what God was doing in her and how He was using her. The “little old me” title only illuminates the kind of amazing and humbling work that God has been doing in her over the last few years. He’s been gently leading her to sit at His feet more and more, and she has followed Him there!

Just three weeks ago, Terilynn landed with clarity on an Impact Statement (italicized below). As she worked and prayed through honing in on who God has made her most compassionate for, it became clear just how much she cares about a certain kind of woman. And now with clarified vision, she is leaning in with all of her passionate courage and child-like wonder.

Vision, or a desired outcome can give us a place for which to aim. Vision can also gives us new lenses to recognize new opportunities to achieve those outcomes. And vision can help us see what’s right in front of us already!

Terilynn finished the phone call with a powerful new declaration: “I want boldness. I don’t want to hold back anymore. I want to point people to Jesus!”

Amen, sister! Let’s get after it! I’m so glad to be in the game with you! Go get those women, ages 27-60!

Terilynn’s Impact Statement

Women, ages 27-60 will choose to live their God-given greatness as they learn to live authentic courageous lives of love by embracing the promises of the Gospel, and be used to bring others to Christ through the transformational relationships they create.
