• Key Ideas and Highlights of Session III

  • Repentance is not something Christians do one time when they ask Jesus to come into their lives as their Lord and Savior. Christians are to live in a posture of repentance. This means that they have an awareness of sin and their ongoing need for Jesus.

• Pro Tips for Facilitating Session III

  • Help your Team members realize that their need for Jesus is an invitation of joy to return to Him through repentance. Because there is good news, we can face the bad news. For us to live on mission with Jesus, we must have a depth of intimacy that is cultivated when we walk through the door of repentance in the middle of our need. This awareness will increase our affection for Jesus, help us stay intimately connected to Him, and keep us aligned with Him.

  • This session ties back to Discover A(D) Session 2 - God’s Story. There we realized that the Gospel applies to every situation we find ourselves in. This session opens up a new awareness that the need for Jesus in our lives is also an invitation to draw closer to Him.
