Beyond the A(D) Team Series

Here is a picture of life after the A(D) Team Series with the “1, 2, 3, 4, 5s”! These five elements are true of every ACTIVATE(D) Team. As you look back over the Disciple-Maker Team Training, you will notice these qualities woven through your experience. It is these five characteristics that make an ACTIVATE(D) Team unique from a Bible study or small group.

The “1, 2, 3, 4, 5s”

Every ACTIVATE(D) Team has these five qualities.

1. One Vision - Every ACTIVATE(D) Team has a vision to see Christ glorified in whole neighborhoods and networks of new disciples, with the emphasis on Christ glorified.

2. Two Spaces - Every ACTIVATE(D) Team is intentional about creating two spaces: a space to grow in their relationship with Jesus together and a space to go and make new disciples together.

3. Three Minimums - Every ACTIVATE(D) Team makes a commitment to communion (up), community (in), and commission (out).

4. Four Outcomes - Grow in Gospel Motivation: make disciples, love people, love God, be loved by God.

Five Stages of an ACTIVATE(D) Team

As an ACTIVATE(D) Team, we want to keep our eyes on Jesus and follow Him. Here are five stages that every ACTIVATE(D) Team walks through as they follow Jesus into the world that needs to experience His love.

1. Jesus is speaking to His people... so we listen and discern.
   It’s about Activating Prayer.

2. Jesus is leading His people... so we follow and go.
   It’s about Engaging Culture.

3. Jesus is calling His children... so we care for and connect with them.
   It’s about Making Disciples.

4. Jesus is growing His people... so we nurture and develop.
   It’s about Growing Leaders.

5. Jesus is building His Church... so we work alongside.
   It’s about Forming NEW Teams.
