A(D) Team Series Overview

You have finished the Discover A(D) workshop, and now you are getting ready to dive into the A(D) Team Series! The Discover A(D) workshop helped individuals discern and discover God’s call for their individual lives. Now in the A(D) Team Series, you will learn practices and rhythms that help establish you as a Team centered on the mission of making new disciples of Jesus.

As you transition from the Discover A(D) workshop to the A(D) Team Series, here are a few points to keep in mind.

1. Notice the intentional arc to the outline of the ten sessions in the A(D) Team Series.

   • Session I begins with an invitation to envision what God might do if we live into the mission of following Jesus to those He has put on our hearts.

   • Sessions II-IV take a deep dive internally, helping us process our motivations, our need for God, and our response to Him. Many people want to jump to action right away. Sessions II-IV are placed in this order intentionally because we believe that ministry flows out of who we are.

   • Session V is called The Bridge. This session serves as a bridge, marking a transition from internal work to outward action.

   • Sessions VI-IX explore outward action, helping Teams explore the ideas of where we get our power, what’s our source (learning a DBS-model Bible Study as a tool), the potential impact on a whole group of people, and the value for Team.

   • Session X is The Commissioning. Although it is the last of the sessions, it truly is an invitation to a new beginning as a Team.

2. The conversation format for each week follows The C.O.A.C.H Model. Each session is outlined in the A(D) Team Series Coach’s Guide. Below is an overview of The C.O.A.C.H. Model (adapted from Keith E. Webb’s The C.O.A.C.H. Model For Christian Leaders).

   • C - Connect: At the beginning of each session, you will have time to connect with God and one another.

   • O - Outcome: Then, the outcome of each session will be shared with the group.

   • A - Awareness: After the outcome is shared, your Team will jump into the Awareness section. In this space, you will reflect further upon what God has been doing in, through, and around you.

   • C - Course: Here, you will outline what steps you will take in the following week in light of your discussion as a Team.

   • H - Highlights: Lastly, your Team will have a chance to reflect upon what the Holy Spirit has highlighted through the session.

Throughout the next ten sessions, we pray your Team experiences the presence of God in a fresh way.
